DeMarcus Ware has rejoined the Denver Broncos as a pass-rush consultant for the 2018 season.
ESPN reports Ware will work on a part-time basis, after the former linebacker consulted the team during part of the offseason.
Ware’s 12 year career was spent primarily with the Dallas Cowboys from 2005-2013. He played 37 games for Denver over three seasons, and won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos in 2016. A back injury forced him to retire the following year.
Head Coach Vance Joseph kept the consultant job open as he cleaned house during the offseason.
“I want to help the guys out with a lot of technique work and see what they do, ” Ware said.
Ware also said he’d be willing to practice and train with the team, but jokingly dismissed taking snaps back on the field for the Broncos.
Denver will open the 2018 season at home against the Seattle Seahawks September 9th at 2:25 p.m.
