Even a broken face earlier in the season can stop Grand Junction Rockies’ center fielder Brenton Doyle from being good at baseball.
After one of the most impressive weeks you’ll see in minor league baseball, Doyle was named the Pioneer League player of the week.
The Colorado Rockies’ fourth round pick had a fantastic week going 16-29 with three doubles, two triples, and two homeruns. He also drove in 12 runs, scored 10 himself, and stole two bases.
He hit two homeruns on labor day and had a four-hit game a week ago.
Doyle joins the club of GJ Rockies who have been given player of the week honors. Max George, Christian Koss (twice), and Colin Simpson.
