Experience Key For Delta Panthers in 2019

DELTA, Colo. — The Delta Panthers football team chalked up a mediocre 2018 season to inexperience on the roster.

This year, it’s time to take the Western Slope.

The Panthers wrapped up their 2018 season with a 6-4 record and a first round exit in the CHSAA state playoffs. With a roster of only four seniors and an underclassman at quarterback, many on the team believed the Panthers underachieved.

This year, head coach Ben Johnson said the majority of the roster is a year older, a year wiser, and ready to make a run. Led by junior quarterback Nolan Bynum, the Panthers have 15 seniors on the team this season. Their first game will be at home against the Thornton Trojans September 6th at 6:00 p.m. from Delta High School.
