GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Some (me) we’re touting it the high school softball game of the year.

Fruita and Central.

Five wins in a row for Central.

Eight wins in a row for Fruita.

And the game of the year did not disappoint. In the third, Fruita’s bats proved they’re the best in the Grand Valley, crushing ball after ball.

Fruita was up 5 to 1 after three. But Central came roaring back to send it to extras. But in the end it was the Wildcats who had enough and get to 16 and 3 on the year.

The regular season has ended for Central, but Fruita still has a double header to go at home against Durango tomorrow.
