On Tuesday the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced it’s all-conference teams and there were four Mavericks honored.
Red-shirt junior middle blocker Kasie Gilfert and senior Camille Smith were put on the All-RMAC first team for the second straight year.
Junior setter Ara Norwood and sophomore libero Kerstin Layman were named honorable mentions.
Gilfert led the conference with a .393 hitting percentage and was second in total kills, kills per set, and total points per set.
Smith was fourth in the conference with a .369 clip.
Norwood was one of two setters that ran in the 6-2 scheme. She tallied 610 assists, 199 digs, and a 23 service aces which is tied for first on the team.
This was Layman’s first year as a starter, but played like she’d been starting for years. She dug up 462 balls and was sixth in the RMAC for digs per set.
