GJ Rockies Clinch Playoffs for the First Time Since 2013

With the Grand Junction Rockies 3-1 win over the Orem Owlz Wednesday night, they punched their ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

They will play in the South Division Championship Series this Friday through Sunday. They will play the Raptors in Ogden for the first two games at 6:30 p.m. If the series is split they will head back to Suplizio field on Sunday for a 5:00 p.m. game.

Ogden clinched a playoff spot in the first half of the season, and has a 20-16 record for the second half with one more game left to play.

The Raptors lead the season series with nine wins against the Rocks, and have lost seven times.

If the Rockies take that series, they would play in the Championship round which will be played Tuesday, September 11, Thursday, September 13, and possibly Friday, September 14.

Their last game of the regular season is Thursday, September 6, with the first pitch at 6:35 against Orem.
