Mick Ritter is now the team president for the Grand Junction Rockies. Mick has been with the organization for the last six years, serving as the assistant general manager since 2016.
“Just excitement, this is my sixth season,” Ritter said. “I’ve been working towards it and it’s a goal that I’ve wanted to achieve.”
He grew up in Grand Junction, played high school baseball for the Central Warriors and started with the GJ Rockies as the food and beverage director.
“We are a great group of people here in Grand Junction, it’s a great town, and a great community,” Ritter added. “But, we as a staff here, are very small and very lucky to have our hat in everything.”
After four years with the Grand Junction Rockies, team president and general manager Joe Kubly took a job as the general manager for the Quad Cities River Bandits in Iowa.
Joe was named the Pioneer Executive of the Year in 2018.
