Friday officially starts the high school football postseason for the 3A and 4A Westernslope teams.
Palisade has made it to the 3A state semi-finals the last two seasons and wants to make another deep run. The Bulldogs have a rematch against the Durango Demons, who they beat 25-18 to start the year.
That game kicks off in Durango Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m.
The Fruita Monument Wildcats had a tough start to the season, but with a solid late-season run they have made it to yet another postseason.
The Wildcats will play Dakota Ridge on the road Friday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Grand Junction squeaked into the postseason for the first time since 2015, back when they played in 5A. The Tigers have a (5-5) record on the season and have to take on undefeated Broomfield in the first round.
The Tigers play the Eagles in Broomfield Saturday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m.
Montrose is the No. 4 seed coming into the 4A tournament. They host No. 11 Brighton at 6:00 p.m.
