Grand Junction, CO – (KREX) In game one of the JUCO World Series, the #4 Central Florida team came out like they were the top seed. John Morant got the party started for Central Florida with a solo home run. It was 3-1 in favor of Central Florida when they blew it wind open with 5 runs in the 6th inning. They would knock off the #7 seed Cowley by the score of 8-2.
In-game 2, Harford scored first with a solo from Braedon Karpathios. But the #1 seed Walters State would answer with 2 runs in the 4th to take a 2-1 lead. Harford would have a big inning in the 6th. The Fighting Owls would score 4 runs to make it 6-2 Harford. But Walters State would show why they are the top seed in this tournament with 10 unanswered runs to close out the game. Walters state wins, 12-6.
