Junction Lacrosse Overwhelmed in Playoff Opener

The Grand Junction High School boys lacrosse team was smacked Thursday at Walker Field, falling 22-2 to Regis Jesuit High School. The Tigers are eliminated from the CHSAA 5A State Tournament with the loss. 

The Raiders scored 9 goals in the first quarter of the game, finding open gaps in Junction’s defense all game long. The Tigers found the scoreboard halfway through the second period on a Jack Mottram goal to make the score 14-1. 

The Tigers finish their season with a 13-3 record.
