Junction’s Late Rally Comes up Short


Koss hits a HR on back-to-back nights

GRAND JUNCTION, CO – Two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning wasn’t enough as the Grand Junction Rockies fall to the Great Falls Voyagers 5-4.

The Voyagers beat the Rockies for the first time of the season thanks to three combined runs in the sixth and seventh inning.

The Walters State product, Alex Haynes got the start for Grand Junction as he threw four innings, gave up two earned runs, five hits, and struck out five.

Infielder Christian Koss continued his incredible hot streak as he went 3-for-3, got on base four times, and hit his second homerun of the season in back-to-back nights.

In Koss’ first 11 games of pro ball, he has 17 hits, 14 RBI’s, two homeruns, and three stolen bases.

Junction will play the Voyagers in the season finale Saturday at 6:40 p.m.
