BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Newly hired Colorado head coach Karl Dorrell is no stranger to Boulder after serving two previous stints with the Buffaloes.

Dorrell will try to get the Buffaloes back on track as he takes over for Mel Tucker after Tucker left for Michigan State following a 5-7 season. Dorrell preached family, stability and commitment in a nearly hour-long introductory news conference.

He said he was in it for the long haul and stressed this is his dream job. He and his family already have a house in the area.
