Battle Mountain wins a hard-fought game against Palisade

Local Sports

PALISADE, Colo. — Trailing by nine heading into the fourth the Palisade ladies had their work cut out for them. Behind stifling defense, three-point shooting, and creating second chance opportunities off the glass helped the Bulldogs claw their way back into the game and even take the lead at one point. But Battle Mountain’s clutch free throw shooting late helped them hold on for the win.

Although they suffered a setback in their bid take home league title honors head coach DeAnne Larson was optimistic about the Bulldogs performance and thinks it can lead them back to their winning ways.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Friday night taking on Summit.
