GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Miami Dolphins obliterated the Broncos, beating them down 70 to 20 in Miami. The Dolphins’ 70 points were the most points scored in an NFL game since 1966. Tua Tagovailoa went for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns, but his performance is surpassed by De’Von Achane’s 203 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Absolute insanity in this game, but I’m sure it’s very upsetting if you’re a Broncos fan. Nobody wants to be on the other side of a record-breaker.
It’s hard to stay level headed after a loss like that, but it’s not easy to greatly improve from last year’s record. So we’ve got to take these punches and hopefully by the end of the season we see an overall improvement from this team. An improvement that some Broncos fans say will only happen if the team moves on from Vance Joseph at the defensive coordinator position. After today, he’s definitely in hot water.
If any game is going to give the Broncos a chance to flip the script, it’s next week against the Chicago Bears. In most people’s eyes, these two teams are the worst in the NFL. A good win at Soldier Field will provide a chance for Denver to gain some confidence heading into the rest of the season, but a loss will put everyone in the orange and blue organization on hot ice.
