GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Colorado Mesa Women’s Soccer shutout Colorado Mines in the RMAC Championship game by a score of 3-0. A heavy dose of payback for the Mavericks after a 4-0 loss to the Orediggers during the regular season.

Redshirt senior Mikayla Eccher won RMAC Tournament MVP with her two goals in the RMAC Championship. Kylie Wells also scored in the championship game to seal the 3-0 win over Colorado Mines.

This trophy is CMU’s second RMAC Women’s Soccer Championship with it being their first win since 1998. With this championship, Colorado Mesa automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament, their first bid since 2011. The Mavericks will discover their fate during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, November 13th at 4:30pm MT.
