GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The No. 2 ranked Colorado Mines Orediggers shut out the Colorado Mesa Mavericks at Stocker Stadium.

The Orediggers were lead by running back Noah Roper who scored the first three touchdowns of the game. Wide receiver Flynn Schiele also caught two touchdowns for Colorado Mines as they walk away with a 52-0 win over the Mavericks.

It wasn’t a pretty sight watching CMU get shutout 52-0 in this games. The Orediggers are one of if not the best team in the country this year, think Georgia or Michigan in Division 2.

Colorado Mesa on the other hand is a younger squad that needs time to grow. The Mavericks are 2-4 following this loss, but two of those losses were to ranked competition. One of the wins was over an FCS team in the San Diego Toreros. Give this team some time, they’ll be alright.
