HS Basketball: Snyder Leads Girls SWL All-Conference Team

Fruita Monument’s Riley Snyder led the 2017-18 Southwestern League All-Conference Team as Player of the Year.

Snyder averaged 18.2 points per game and 5.4 rebounds as a senior leading the Wildcats to the Great 8 of the 5A girls state tournament.  Fruita Monument Head Coach Michael Wells also earned Coach of the Year. The Wildcats finished 23-3 this season winning back-to-back-to-back Southwestern League Titles.

First Team: Riley Snyder (Sr.) – Fruita Monument, Angelique Gall (Sr.) – Fruita Monument, Hilda Garcia (Sr.) – Durango, Kennadie Minerich (So.) – Montrose, Jacquelyn Mitchell (Sr.) – Central, Mackenzie Younker (Jr.) – Grand Junction

Second Team: Mackenzie Wells (Sr.) – Fruita Monument, Brett Rowland (Sr.) – Durango, Emma Fitzgerald (So.) – Durango, Janey Alex (Sr.) – Montrose, Allyssia Dixon (Sr.) – Montrose, Mya Murdock (Fr.) – Central
