The offensive line is a position group the Denver Broncos looked to vastly improve this offseason.
After drafting Garrett Bolles in the first round, signing free agents Ronald Leary and Menelik Watson, and just trading for Allen Barber, Denver has plenty of offensive linemen to compete for the starting five.
Head coach Vance Joseph knows how important it is to have a strong offensive line.
“We drafted Bolles, but he has to earn his spot,” said Joseph. “Ty has had a hell of a spring. He’s earned a right to compete for the job. It’s been fun to watch both of those guys compete. Even Stephenson, he’s in that mix, he’s playing more right. The best two guys are going to play. We’re looking to have four guys who can play tackle for us because in our division, every team has two edge rushers and they play left and right. So we have to have two tackles that can play.”
