PALISADE, Colo. (KREX) — The Palisade Bulldogs knew for a while they would be crowned the 2022 4A Western Slope League champions. But Friday they closed out their league calendar in style topping Glenwood Springs 11-1 giving the Bulldogs a perfect 12-0 league record on the year. Talking to some players after the game, it’s obvious, the team is not just satisfied with winning the league.

“It’s great to go undefeated in league but, we’ve still got work to do…” said senior pitcher, Ryder Mancuso. “…One of our main goals is to break through the first round (of state playoffs). It’s something we’ve been unable to do the last couple of years, so if we were able to do that, it’s another goal accomplished… And keep going after that.”

The 20-2 Bulldogs have one last regular season game at home against Montrose on Monday at 2:15.
