A Baker's Dozen for the Rockies

The Grand Junction Rockies snapped their three-game losing streak with a 12-1 win over the Billings Mustangs Monday night.

The Rocks scored four in the first inning, while they got a great start from Helchris Olivarez, who went five innings and only gave up three hits, one walk and struck out seven.

Pioneer League player of the week Christian Koss extended his hit streak to eight games with a single in the second inning. He also was walked three times and scored twice.

Grand Junction native Owen Taylor had two hits on the night extending his hit streak to seven games, and drove in a run.

The Rockies will play the Mustangs in game three of the series Tuesday night at 6:40 p.m. from Suplizio field.
