Talib is “Back Baby!”

Local Sports

The Denver Broncos have a pretty big game Sunday night, Aqib Talib is slated to be back in the lineup for the first time in a month, and he may be just a little excited.

ā€œIā€™m back, baby!ā€ said Aqib Talib, Denver Broncos cornerback.

Talib is one of a handful of Broncos that seem to be getting healthy just in time for this stretch run.

Talib was in a very jovial mood to start the week of practice. While the Broncos are coming off a bye week, Talib is essentially coming off four of them, forced to sit out due to a back injury sustained on October 24 against Houston. With everybody except center Matt Paradis at practice this week, this is the closest to full strength the Broncos have been since Week 1.

“It’ll be good. It’s always good when you get in that huddle and you see everybody, all the guys. It’ll be good. We’re well-rested. We should come out and play really fast. It’ll be good,ā€ said Taleb.

The Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs for Sunday Night Football, with a shot to close Oakland’s lead to just half a game in the AFC West.
