The Colorado Mesa women's basketball team won its sixteenth game in a row Friday night, beating Regis 56-46.
Believe it or not the Mavericks started the game very slowly scoring only six points in the first quarter. They were able to hold the Rangers to just eight points, but it was an uncharacteristically slow start for the Mavs.
To make matters even scarier for CMU fans is that Mesa was down by two going into halftime. But, they came out hot in the third quarter going on a 14-0 run to gain the lead and they never looked back.
The ten point win means that the Mavericks are still undefeated in conference play and at the top of the RMAC standings with a (17-1) overall record.
CMU will host Colorado Christian University at 5:30 Saturday night at the Brownson Arena.
