Mavs Football Lands 17 Commits on National Signing Day

The 2019 Colorado Mesa signing class already has a majority of its players locked in.

On Wednesday, the football team signed 17 future Mavs during National Signing Day. Eight offensive players and nine defensive players, both locally and nationally, will head to CMU's campus in the fall.

Among the commits are Palisade High School's Jason Bruce (WR), and Sebastian Campbell (WR). Rifle High School's Tanner Vines (RB) also inked his committment. A First-Team All-State selection in consecutive years, Vines notched back-to-back 2,000 yard seasons in his junior and senior season with the Bears.

The Mavs also landed six-foot-seven QB Zach Anderson from Discovery Canyon High School (Colorado Springs, CO). Head Coach Russ Martin believes Anderson will transition to tight end when he plays for CMU.
