Mavs Make Huge Comeback to Beat Rival Western


From Doomed to Dominant

After losing the first three matches, the Colorado Mesa men’s wrestling team was down 14-0, but made a huge comeback to beat rival Western State 24-21.

The Mavericks got 12 points with back to back pins from Hayden Harris (165) and Seth Latham (174). Then at 197, Donny Negus gave the team five points with a 21-5 tech fall to seal the win.

The Mavs improve to (2-0) on the season and will be back in action on December 15 for the Reno Tournament of Champions.
