Grand Junction, CO (KREX) – Fruita Monument High School announced today that Michael Wells has been hired as the new Head Boys’ Basketball Coach. This will be Coach Wells, second coaching stint with the Wildcats after coaching the Girls’ program for 9 years. In his nine seasons, Wells led the Wildcats to 6 Southwest League Championships, 7 Sweet Sixteens appearances, and 2 Final Eight appearances, and was named the Southwest League Coach of the Year, 6 times.
