GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Cowboys of Plateau Valley just keep on rolling.

After cruising past St. Mary’s in round one, Plateau Valley escaped the 4-seeded Mancos Bluejays 3 sets to 2 in round two. And now the Cowboys are headed to the 2A state quarterfinal to take on the top overall seed Wiggins Friday.

Meanwhile, in 3A, the 4-seeded Delta Panthers had a bye in round one and got by Valley in round two to set up their huge quarterfinal match with Platte Valley (not to be confused with Plateau Valley).

In 4A, Palisade took down Niwot 3-2 in the first round, but fell short against the 3-seed Palmer Ridge in round two. It’s a double elimination tournament so the Bulldogs will now meet up with Montrose Friday in the “Contenders” side of the bracket Friday. The Red Hawks fell to Lutheran in their first playoff game.
