For the second year in a row the Redlands Mesa Golf Course was ranked the No. 1 golf course in Colorado by Golf Week. Golf Digest also gave the same ranking to Redlands as the best public golf course in the state.
The course is located right across the Colorado River and has breathtaking views all around the links with the Colorado Monument as the backdrop.
"It's like you living in a national park," course general manager Sandra Weckerly said. "It's so beautiful here, you get the luxury of living in a national park where generally you can't live in a place like that."
Redlands Mesa first opened up in 2000 and has built the community around it. Construction is currently taking place by building a variety of homes.
"People have a lot of fun living out here," Weckerly added. "They love it. People say to me all the time 'I wake up everyday and I feel so lucky to get to live here."
This isn't just a place to play golf. The club also hosts weddings and other events. It has a resort-like feel with a pool and you are also able to order food while you golf from your cart. Then pick it up when it is done.
The course is semi-private, as you can buy yearly memberships. But, as long as you reserve a tee-time in advance, you can play golf on any day.
