The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selected two Colorado Mesa wrestlers, Eduardo Penha and Jason Buhr, to their end of the season All-RMAC teams Wednesday.
Penha a senior at 141 pounds, finished with a perfect record in conference play. He was named to the All-RMAC First Team. Penha was most recently ranked seventh in the NWCA Nationa Rankings ahead of NCAA Regionals.
Another senior, Jason Buhr (165 lbs.), was named to the Second Team after a 5-2 record in the RMAC. Buhr was also named RMAC Academic Player of the Year, holding a 3.7 GPA with a major in Kinesiology.
Three other Mavs wrestlers, Tyler Johnson, Donnie Negus, and Daniel Van Hoose were also named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.
Mesa wrestlers are headed to the NCAA Regional Tournament in Kearney, Nebrasksa, begining on February 23rd.
