Rockies Clinch Back-to-Back Playoff Trips

GJ Makes Playoffs for Second Year in a Row

The Grand Junction Rockies are heading back to the playoffs. For the second straight season, manager Jake Opitz led his squad to the postseason.

2019 was a closer call than 2018, but with the second best overall record in the south, they were able to extend their season.

The Orem Owlz lost to the Ogden Raptors Tuesday night, which clinched the Rockies’ wildcard playoff birth and they will play in the South Division Championship series starting Sunday September, 8.

Junction will host the first game of the series against the Raptors. That will be at Suplizio field at 6:00 p.m.

The other two games (if necessary) will be played in Ogden, UT and the winner will advance to the Pioneer League Championship series.
