On Tuesday August 7, Suplizio Field will be the home for the 2018 Pioneer/Northwest League All-Star game. There are six Rockies on the Pioneer League roster, three position players and three pitchers.
Grant Lavigne: This 18 year-old first baseman is fresh out of high school and has been one of the most impressive players in the league. His .360 batting average and 31 RBI is second on the team and has been a staple at the plate.
Coco Montes: The shortstop currently leads the team in batting average, hits, and doubles with .382, 68, and 13 respectively. He has been the best hitter the Rockies have to offer and has been giving pitchers the fits all season long.
Niko Decolati: Power and speed is a good way to describe the left-fielder. The Rockies have been enjoying the benefits of the sixth round draft pick as he has been able to rack up 6 home runs and a team high 11 stolen bases.
Reagan Biechler: Second year is the charm! After a year in Grand Junction in 2017, Biechler made it to the All-Star game with his consistency coming out of the bullpen. He almost averages a strikeout an inning and boasts a 2.57 ERA.
