Suplizio Field, the heartbeat of Grand Junction, is one of the final eight baseball stadiums in Ballpark Digest's "Best of the Ballpark" voting contest.
On their website (ballparkdigest.com), the contest is decided by a public daily vote, divided between division in the minor league. Suplizio is up against the other 17 fields in Rookie League, combining the Pioneer League and the Appalachian League.
Suplizio is primarily used as the Grand Junction Rockies's home field during the summers, but is also used by Colorado Mesa, the JUCO World Series, and a number of high school and youth events throughout the year. Suplizio also received an $8.3 million dollar facelift in 2010, and has a total seating capacity of about 7,000 people.
Suplizio is currently going up against Lindquist Field, the home of the Odgen Raptors in the Pioneer League. Voting in the "Elite 8" Round is open to the public until Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
