One of the top 12 hikes to go on, according to visitgrandjunction.com, is Serpent's Trail. It's located on the Colorado National Monument and has been known as the 'crookedest road in the world'.
It's a total of 3.5 miles with 770 feet of climbing and 16 switchbacks. The trail only takes about two hours, but if you would like to lengthen the hike, 'Devil's Kitchen' is right next to the lower trail head.
