This episode is a little different. With Mother’s Day approaching, our Digital Reporter Jocelyn Stafford headed home to cook delicious cabbage soup with her mom. If you want to try this out yourself, the list of ingredients is below! Happy Mother’s Day from The Dish.
1 head of cabbage
2 stalks of celery
2 green bell peppers
1 white onion
Box of vegetable or chicken broth
1 can 24oz diced tomatoes
Onion soup mix
Put the olive oil in the pan. Sautee the carrots, celery, bell peppers and onions into the pan until the onions are a little translucent.
Then we will add in the vegetable broth and can of tomatoes.
Once that is finished, we will add in the onion soup mix, some salt, pepper and crushed red pepper (optional). Finally we will add in the most important ingredient, the cabbage. It will be overflowing at first but will then cook down. Let the soup simmer until the soup is well mixed and then it is ready to serve!
