The Dish Recipes: Delilah’s Delight

The Dish is featuring recipes so that you can have good eats without leaving the comfort of your own home. If you are craving a delicious homemade dessert, look no further. The Dish has a recipe just for you. Today we are featuring a recipe for Delilah’s Delight. This is the perfect dessert to top off any meal! 

Let’s start with the ingredients. For this dish you will need: 

1 cup flour 

1/2 cup butter softened 

1 cup whole walnuts 

1 cup chopped walnuts 

8 oz cream cheese softened 

1 cup powdered sugar 

2 8oz containers whipped cream topping  

1 large box “instant” chocolate pudding 

3 cups milk 

Now that we have the ingredients, we will preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Now we will mix the flour, butter, and 1 cup of whole walnuts together. We will then press the mixture into a 9×13 inch cake pan. Then put the cake pan into the oven to bake until the top is golden brown and then take it out to let it cool. This will create the walnut crust.  

Next, we will blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar and 8 ounces of whipped cream topping until it is creamy and then spread it over the (now cooled) walnut crust in the cake pan.  

For the next step, we will blend the instant chocolate pudding and milk and then pour it over the cream cheese layer in the pan. Chill the cake pan in the refrigerator until it is set. 

Finally, we will pull the cake pan out of the fridge and spread the last 8 ounces of the whipped cream topping over the chocolate pudding layer and sprinkle it with 1 cup of chopped walnuts. Once all of these steps are completed, you can chill your Delilah’s Delight in the fridge until it is time to eat!
