GUNNISON COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Officials have closed Kebler pass on Coal Creek Road in Gunnison County due to a washout near mile post 3.7.

Kebler Pass has sustained major damage due to runoff and is not passable by vehicle. Kebler Pass will remain closed until repairs can be made and the road is rebuilt.

Forest Service engineers are working to assess damages to several washouts in forest areas in Colorado. No timeline has been assembled for the reopening of Kebler Pass. Call the Paonia Ranger District at 970-527-4131.
