GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) —The Western Slope will be falling short of the average temperatures for Friday. Good sunshine and a light breeze along with a (temporary) rain free pattern. The weekend will come under the influence of a moisture surge from the south/Gulf of Mexico and rain showers could develop for the southern zones Saturday evening. Sunday/Monday will have a more widespread rain pattern for the remaining locations of the Western Slope. Next week has an increasing temperature and rain pattern. This increased presence of rain in our extended forecast will continue through the end of May and into early June.
