GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.
Ed Bozarth Mark Miller Chevrolet Buick handed over a check this afternoon to members of STRIVE.
The organization provides community-based services and support to people with disabilities and their families, and has been doing it for 50 years.
Time is essential to helping children with learning disabilities, and with this $1,000 donation from the dealership, organizers say the kids can reach their full potential. STRIVE Vice President, Douglas Sorter says, “46% of the time if a child comes into our environment, in our early childhood development department, they reach their age-appropriate skills and behaviors, and no longer need any more services. So, these are the kind of funds that help that happen.”
“We try and give back as often as we can. The community supports us so well, and STRIVE does a wonderful job. They’re a great non-profit organization here in town, and we felt we had to give back to them as well”, says Mark Miller, President of Ed Bozarth Mark Miller Chevrolet Buick dealership in Grand Junction.
