First, join Alpine Bank for a Night on The Street. There will be live music, food trucks, and games followed by an optional sleep out. Sleeping bags are provided, and this is all to show support for homeless teens. Proceeds benefit the House and it begins Friday night at 6 pm at Colorado Mesa Univerisity. You can make a donation or register to sleep out here.
Secondly, we are calling all astronomy lovers! Friday night, there will be a star party on the Colorado National Monument. You can view the stars through telescopes at the saddlehorn picnic area of the monument. The event kicks off tonight at 8 pm and goes until 10 pm. The event is free, but regular entrance fees apply.
Lastly, As we approach autumn, the Salvation Army needs your help in donating coats as part of their annual fall drive for families in Grand Junction. The organization is accepting lightly used child or adult winter apparel.
The items can be dropped off at the following locations:
Bray Realty, Broadway Elementary, Cabelas, Orchard Mesa Lanes, Farmers Insurance (Fruita), Palisade Family Health (Palisade), and Remax 4000.
You can donate from October 7th until the 14th.
