MESA COUNTY, Colo. — At last count, there are still six COVID-19 cases in Mesa County, six in Montrose County, and one recorded positive in Delta.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has announced they will distribute 4,500 testing kits to health departments in Larimer, Mesa, and El Paso counties to test first responders and health care workers.
In total, there are 1,430 cases in Colorado.
Friday is the second day of the governor’s “stay at home” order, which is set to last until April 11th.
In the United States, deaths have topped 1,000, reaching a grim new benchmark.
There are now more than 86,000 confirmed cases in the United States, half of which are in New York, the new epicenter of the disease in North America. With that number, the United States has surpassed China as the country with the most cases in the world China has a little over 80,000 cases.
Globally, there are more than half a million cases of infection with a little more than 127,000 cases of recoveries.
