Health insurance for Coloradoans who have lost coverage due to COVID-19

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Connect for Health Colorado has opened an emergency special enrollment period from Friday, March 20 through Friday, April 3, 2020. Coloradans who are currently uninsured or about to lose coverage due to COVID-19 are able to get health insurance that starts April 1, 2020. In addition, anyone losing job-based health coverage is eligible for a special 60 day enrollment period.

Local assistance is available through Hilltop’s Health Access which helps members of the public navigate the online enrollment process, compare coverage options side-by-side, learn if they can get a discount based on their income, and then enroll – sometimes all in one day! Assistance is provided via phone and online with no need for personal contact. Tax credits may be available to help reduce the cost of health plans – Hilltop’s Health Access can help assure individuals are paying the lowest possible amount.
