Rural Fire Readiness Program



Each year over 4,500 wildfires burn land throughout Colorado, and the very reason why a Type 6 fire engine is transferred to the De Beque Fire Protection District. The Type 6 is the smallest engine used in firefighting with a huge strategy: to fight tricky wildfires on the mountainous lands of the Western Slope.
