We will warm up to slightly above average temperatures this afternoon. We will have gusty winds across the Western Slope in front of a strong approaching cold front. Peak wind gusts will be near 40 mph and the strongest wind gust will be closer to the Divide. The cold front will start to move across the state this evening and we will see 80% rain chances in the overnight hours. Rain chances will continue into Sunday as we will be seeing at least 70% chances for precipitation all day. During the overnight hours we will see rain transition into snow. This snow will carry into Monday. After Monday dry weather will return. After the system moves out we will be left with 1 – 4 inches of snow in the valleys and about 6 inches at the higher elevations.
