Clear skies will stick around for most of the afternoon. There will be a 15% chance for some showers over by Aspen and Gunnison. Cloud cover will be increasing as we push through the afternoon hours due to the westerly wind pulling in moist air. High temperatures will remain 5 degrees above average. Rain chances will continue to increase for tomorrow as a subtropical jet moves into the area. The amount of rain we will receive will be around a tenth of an inch of the higher elevations an a few hundredths of a inch for the valley. There will be a higher chance for these showers to form to the south. Wednesday dry air will make its way into the Western Slope and we should see clear skies for the rest of the week.
A dry cold front will push through the area for this weekend. This front will bring gusty winds with it and fire weather concerns. The front will help pull our temperatures back closer to their averages after the warming we will see at the end of the week.
