Snow accumulations have already started in Delta and Montrose. Grand Junction isn't far behind. The valleys are expecting single digit accumulations through Saturday, but higher regions could get double digits of snowfall.
Snow showers are continuing through the majority of today and into tonight. Snow accumulations will be up to 2" in Grand Junction and up to 8" in Montrose and Delta.
Southwesterly flow is bringing in moisture through the four corners region and a low pressure is pushing moisture through the great basin too. This means snow is expected tonight through southern areas like the San Juans and Pagosa Springs. Grand Junction and Montrose are looking at winter storms through Friday and Saturday. Grand Junction is looking at up to 2" of snow, while Montrose could get up to 7" of accumulation.
A low pressure will start to move in from the west coast, which will bring rain and snow for the entire western slope on Thursday and Friday. The valleys will see 1-2" of accumulation and southern areas will see up to 8".
