Cloudier skies locked in plenty of heat during the overnight hours last night. Morning lows are about 10-15 degrees warmer than yesterday, and have returned to average levels in the 40s, and upper 30s in the Grand Valley. High temperatures will continue to climb as we head into the weekend. Highs will mostly be in the 60s, but there will be the potential for a few lower 70s in the Grand Valley for the afternoon. Skies will clear up a bit at sunrise, but cloud cover will build back up again for the afternoon. A weak cold front will pass through the Western Slope Saturday evening. This front won’t make much of an impact temperature wise, but we will see scattered showers mostly over the higher elevations Saturday night into Sunday morning. High pressure will move into the Western Slope late Sunday morning causing skies to clear up for the end of the weekend. Temperatures will continue to warm up as we move into next week with potential 80s in the Grand Valley for next Tuesday.
