Skies are clearing up over the Western Slope this morning. The light showers over the higher elevations will fully clear up by sunrise, and we will see another dry day on the Western Slope. Current conditions look to be just under red flag criteria. Still be extra cautious with any open flames, and make sure you properly dispose cigarette butts and anything else you may be smoking today. Highs will be a little cooler than yesterday thanks to the cold front that passed through last night. Still we will be around 10 degrees above normal. Highs will be in the 70s for most of the Western Slope, and we will see 60s over the higher elevations. Clear skies will stick around for the morning, but partly cloudy skies will move in for this afternoon. We will be dry for this morning and afternoon, and the dry weather will continue for tomorrow. Another cold front will move through the region Friday morning. With this next front highs will drop back to our seasonal normals for the end of the week, and much needed rain showers and thunderstorms will move in.
