Scattered rain showers, also known as hit or miss rain clouds for this exceptionally dry region, will continue through the evening hours.
Valley rain showers are expected to move through the region up until midnight Wednesday. Mountain snow showers above timberline should continue through late Wednesday/possibly early Thursday. Under these brief heavy downpours scattered across the Western Slope, expect gusty wind speeds and a quick burst of rain. Morning lows will be cooler than previous mornings, but actually fall in line with the average for this time of the year. No agricultural/temperature threats. The weather pattern for the rest of this work week and into the start of the upcoming weekend will be under a ridge of high pressure. This pattern will clear, dry and warm the region. Near record temperature highs are anticipated for the early weekend, while another cold front is approaching for the late weekend period.
