We are seeing another clear start to the day on the Western Slope. Skies look to stay mostly clear all day in the valleys, and hot temperatures will stick around. We are looking to see highs in the upper 90s today. Rain chances in the lower valleys will be virtually nonexistent, but we will see a few mountain thunderstorms form late this afternoon, and evening. Moist southwesterly flow will continue to push moisture in the region. This will cause rain chances to gradually increase over the next few days. As rain chances increase highs will decrease with mid 90s expect for tomorrow and Friday, and lower 90s for the weekend. That moist southwesterly flow shows no signs of stopping as chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase through the weekend and into next week.
