Morning lows will be slightly warmer than yesterday morning thanks to the smoky skies. Dry westerly winds won’t bring us any relief from the smoke settling in the valleys. High temperatures will continue to be above average in the upper 90s for the valleys with the potential to hit the triple digits for the end of the work week. Rain chances will build back up for the weekend, but most of the rain will be in the higher terrain. The lower valleys will only see a few brief afternoon showers at most over the weekend. Higher winds from the scattered showers will help lift the smoke out of the valleys and we will see some relief over the weekend.
