We will see another smoky start to the day. Morning lows are expected to be slightly warmer, but still near our averages. Smoky conditions will last through the day with highs expected to be in the 90s. Gunnison and Aspen will see chances for pop up thunderstorms towards the end of the afternoon hours. These storms will be on the lighter side if they form, but will still help to temporarily lift smoke out of the Western Slope. As we head into the weekend winds will shift from dry westerly flow to moist southerly flow. This will bring in chances for pop up thunderstorms over the higher elevations, but the lower valleys are still likely to stay dry over the weekend. As we head into next week we will see our rain chances gradually increase.
